Our Music program has three major components: (1) Singing, alone or with others, a varied repertoire of music; (2) Performing on instruments, a varied repertoire of music; (3) Using music theory concepts to create own music. Students K - 2 will play rhythm instruments; Grade 3 will learn to play the flutophone; Grades 4, 5, 6 will learn to play the ukulele. All grades will experience playing the keyboard and autoharp. Our big performances are Winter Songfest in December; Radford Complex Music Festival in April and May Day in May. Another highlight is the end-of-the-year Talent Show. Our main goal is to give each child at Pearl Harbor Kai an opportunity to express themselves creatively through music.
