I have many happy memories of attending Pearl Harbor Kai between 1968 and 1971. One of the most unique experiences was standing in the lunch line outside of the cafeteria and watching the WWII era planes flying overhead as the movie Tora Tora Tora was being filmed in Pearl Harbor. Lunches were always fabulous. No one believes me when I tell them we were served Teriyaki Chicken and rice for school lunch. And no one else my age was given an opportunity at other schools to step out of class for experiences in various departments of the school. I remember getting to spend a day working in the library and another day working in the cafeteria. It gave me a great appreciation of what the school staff did and allowed me to decide what kinds of jobs I might like to investigate further.
