Principal's Message

Welcome, we are a public K-6 school located within the Naval Housing area near Pearl Harbor Station. Home of the "Sharks" Pearl Harbor Kai was opened in 1943 and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Currently, 95% of the population of 670 students are federally connected with one or both parents on active military duty. Yearly the student transiency rate is about 35%; students remain at the school for 1-3 years. This diversity brings a richness to our school culture. Our school purpose is to provide the environment and opportunities for students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to become contributing members of the community. To help us achieve this purpose, the school has adopted the State's General Learner Outcomes (GLOs) which help our children achieve academic and personal success. Please explore the rest of our web site to learn more about the school. We look forward to meeting you in person. Enjoy your time with us here in Hawaii!
